Ex-Asking Alexandria Singer Danny Worsnop Goes Country and Announces Debut Solo Album The Long Road Home For February 2017 Release

Asking Alexandria and We Are Harlot frontman Danny Worsnop unveiled a brand new track earlier today, entitled” Anyone But Me”. The whisky-drenched country ballad is the lead single off Worsnop’s upcoming solo debut LP, The Long Road Home, due out February 17th via Earache Records.

“Anyone But Me” compliments raw and confessional lyrics–the kind typified by 2000’s country rock–with dry rock & roll drums and blues guitar. Worsnop’s voice takes on a shockingly natural country twang, although remains more blues based than the majority of country-rock contemporaries. But make no mistake, this is a distinctive and firm break with Worsnop’s past work. This is a country song, that for better or for worse, does not delineate from established country formulas.

While the Nashville-based Worsnop currently has low name-recognition in country music, he’s certainly well known to metal fans. Still only 26, Worsnop’s work with Asking Alexandria and We Are Harlot has received broad acclaim in the metal and hard rock communities.

He released three full-length LP’s with Asking Alexandria before leaving the group in 2015, and has released a single full-length LP with We Are Harlot. Worsnop is well known for heavy drinking, and has been homeless three times, gone through rehab twice, and been hospitalized numerous times.
