Pyro Pandemonium: Knotfest Day 2

Day 2 of Ozzfest Meets Knotfest featured the hardest and fastest bands in heavy metal. There was something for every metalhead there. Classic thrash band Anthrax showed that the old school can still kick ass. Amon Amarth and Trivium played earlier in the day under the hot San Bernardino sun. Towards the end of the night is when things got crazier. Fans started fires in the lawn are with Slayers “Hell Awaits” blasting in the background. It was a scene straight out of Mad Max. Headliners Slipknot closed the show with Corey Taylor showing that he can still lead the band after his recent surgery.

Mauricio Alvarado: I've been a concert photographer for the past 5 years. My work has been featured on various music magazines and websites. Some of the bands I've photographed are Yes, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Santana, and many more. I'm obsessed with 70's Progressive Rock music. I enjoy photographing bands that I grew up listening to. I'm also a big vinyl record collector since I was in High School. I always enjoy taking my albums to shows and getting them signed by the bands.
