She comes to LA on October 5, New York born Cyndi Lauper started out as a cover artist after dropping out of high school. She later began writing her own work with the help of musician John Turi. The two created the band Blue Angel , the group broke up, as Cyndi went on to perform at local gigs. She then signed with Portrait which released her debut album which included her hit song ” Girls Just Wanna Have Fun “. The song went platinum five times, and she continued her success with her song ” Time After Time ” and others.
Her artistry varies from fun, upbeat, 80’s vibe to soft soothing ballads. Which explains how she has captured such a diverse group of fans.
