Mastodon, Queens Of The Stone Age, At The Drive-In Members Announce Supergroup Gone Is Gone

Gone is Gone is a new supergroup composed Mastodon member Troy Sanders, Queens Of The Stone Age member Troy Van Leeuwen and Mike Zarin, and At The Drive-In member Tony Hajjar. The group is already working on an EP to come out later during the summer of this year. The band released a clip of one of their song from their new EP.

Members Tony Hajjar and Mike Zarin were writing music for movie trailers when they both got an idea, setting up their own supergroup band. Leeuwen was the first to join the group after a couple of drinks and a telephone conversation. Sanders joined as the group’s vocalist after listening to the music and hearing the vision from the mouths of Hajjar and Zarin. “The chemistry was immediate,” said Sanders

“Gone Is Gone is a project that can live even when we are working with our other entities as well,” Hajjar said to Rolling Stone magazine,”The goal is to be able to compose remotely, if needed, on film, trailers, or on anything else that comes up… It feels good to know that all this music will see the light of day soon.”

Gone Is Gone will be performing their first set at Dragonfly in Los Angeles on April 27. Tickets for the event will go on sale April 15, this Friday at 10 am PST.
