Baltimore native dream pop band Beach House will be performing at Pappy + Harriet’s outdoor show on April 19 as part of the upcoming Coachella Sideshows. Beach House is comprised of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally who formed in 2004. The band’s two latest albums were released last year, a mere two months apart from each other. The former charted at #8 and the latter at #39 on the US charts. Here’s a track from “Depression Cherry”:
The record shows a return to simplicity, with songs structured around a melody and a few instruments, with live drums playing a far lesser role. On this record, Beach House reverts back to its natural tendencies and not letting their success dictate the sound they make.
