Real Estate and Hippo Campus will be performing at the Santa Monica Pier on July 16 as part of KCRW’s Twilight Concert series. All the fun starts at 7 p.m. and it’s free for to every one of all ages!
Real Estate is an indie rock band from New Jersey. The original lineup formed in 2008. The band currently consists of Alex Bleeker, Matt Mondanile, Martin Courtney, Jackson Pollis and Matt Kallman. So far, the band has released three albums, with the latest being Atlas released in March 2014. The album debuted at #34 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was recognized as one of The 100 Best Albums of the Decade So Far by Pitchfork Media in August 2014.
“We wanted to make a cleaner, more well-rehearsed record that reflected the way we’ve come together as a live band over the last few years,” explains Courtney.
The KCRW creates and curates the mix of content centered around music discovery, NPR news, cultural exploration and informed public affairs.
