The one and only Van Halen will be performing at the San Manuel Amphitheater on July 11. The group formed in 1972 and would eventually become the 19th-best-selling band/artist in United States history, selling 56 million albums in the U.S. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
Van Halen’s debut album became a hit due to constant touring and went platinum within five months. It would sell over six million copies due in large part to the rock staples “You Really Got Me,” “Jamie’s Cryin’,” and “Runnin’ with the Devil.” Van Halen’s most popular songs include “Jump,” a single that reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and “Panama” and “I’ll Wait,” both of which hit #13 on the US charts.
Van Halen’s most recent album release was A Different Kind of Truth in 2012, which charted #1 on UK Rock Albums Chart, #1 on US Rock Albums and #1 on US Hard Rock Albums. The album had two success singles, “Tattoo” and “She’s the Woman.” Be sure to catch Van Halen at the San Manuel Amphitheater in July.
