Corey Taylor will be performing at the House of Blues Sunset Strip on July 19 as part of solo acoustic set. He is known for having been the lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour and was ranked number 86 in Hit Parader’s Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time.
For Corey, it’s about creating music that lasts. “Nobody is only one side,” he said. “Everybody is multi-faceted and multi-dimensional. I don’t want to be that cardboard cutout rock star. I never have, and I never will. I want to be the guy who wants to have it all.”
Aside from music, Taylor is also an author. His first release was his 2010 “Seven Deadly Sins,” followed by the 2013 “A Funny Things Happened On the Way to Heaven.” His most release is “You’re Making Me Hate You,” which will be released on July 7via Da Capo Press, a member of the Perseus Books Group. The tour is to promote his new book, so be sure to catch Taylor at the House of Blues in July.
