Irish new wave band The Boomtown Rats will play their first U.S. shows since they got back together in 2013. Led by Bob Geldof, the troupe will play fall shows in New York City and Boston as part of “The Big Session,” a three-act tour also including Irish groups The Stunning and Mundy.
The Boomtown Rats premiered their reunion last year at U.K.’s Isle of Wight Festival, the band’s first appearance together since their 1986 split. Since then, they have played at a number of shows throughout Europe and look forward to their first pair of U.S. shows next month.
