Chvrches not be confused with the religious word for a place of prayer (hence the v and not u) is a Scottish synthpop band from Glasgow that was formed in 2011. The group consists of Lauren Mayberry (lead vocals), Iain Cook (synthesizers, guitar, bass, vocals), and Martin Doherty (synthesizers, samplers, vocals). Glassnote’s Daniel Glass signed them to the label early this year after seeing them perform two solo’s and open for Passion Pit in the UK.
