Father John Misty/Inara George/Becky Stark @ The Bootleg Theatre on 10/3

On October 3rd, Father John Misty will play a benefit gig at the Bootleg Theater.

The night will raise funds for Mayla Embry, the daughter of producer/songwriter Aaron Embry. She was diagnosed with leukemia last month.

Tickets for Misty’s gig went on sale earlier this week, and are available in three tiers: General Admission ($17), Angel ($50), and Archangel ($100), depending on how much you can and are willing to donate to Mayla’s aid. Support will come from Inara George (one half of the Bird and the Bee) and Becky Stark of Lavender Diamond.

Misty, the solo project of former fleet Foxes drummer/percussionist J. Tillman, will presumably perform some songs from his recent album Fear Fun at the gig. But who knows what else he’ll do? He’s a pretty unpredictable character, and if you don’t already have plans for October 3rd make sure to pick up a ticket to this gig – it’ll be a great show AND you get to help donate to a good cause.
