WHY? Announces New Album Mumps For October Release

WHY? is set to drop their newest album since 2009, Sod in the Seed EP, on August 13th via City Slang Records in Europe and the North American release date is August 14th off Anticon. The trip will follow the six-track EP with a brand new LP, Mumps, Etc. in early October. WHY? will promote the new EP with a national tour with Anticon label mates, Serengeti, Doseone, Jel, Sodapop. Mumps, etc.

WHY? consists of three men, Yoni Wolf and brothers Josiah and Doug McDiarmid, from Cincinatti, Ohio. The Midwestern trio recorded Mumps, etc. in a month and a half in Denton, Texas. They showed up with a batch of half-finished demos form the last five-odd years at the studio of Centro-Matic’s Matt Pence to create the LP. The album was produced by the Wolf Brothers and mixed in Atlanta by Yoni and Graham Marsh (Cee Lo Green, Katy Perry).
