Explosive Berlin based industrial metal band Rammstein has announced 21 North American tour dates beginning April 20 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Ft. Lauderdale and ending May 25th at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. Tickets for the event went on sale November 18 and are available through LiveNation or Ticketmaster.
Explosive is quite a fitting adjective -the band’s live sets are literally just that. During live shows, lead singer Till Lindeman and the other band members often don a fire-spitting mask that spray flaming arcs at least 10 feet into the air,while showers of sparks rain down like hell fire on the stage. The band’s live show behavior was so intense that they were actually jailed in the U.S. after their Family Values Tour antics was deemed indecent behavior in 1998. The tour will be in support of Rammstein’s first retrospective release, entitled Made In Germany 1995-2011. The album which will be available in North America (through a distribution deal between Universal Germany and Vagrant Records) on Dec. 13.
Rammstein also recently released Mein Land, a four-track digital single featuring the title track and “Vergiss uns Nicht”, as well as remixes from BossHoss and Mogwai.
