Trip-hop kings Massive Attack recently announced that all of the proceeds earned from their upcoming Lincoln car commercial will be donated to clean up operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
Lincoln will feature “Paradise Circus,” a remix track by Gui Boratto that comes from Massive Attacks most recent album Heligoland, in a commercial that premieres this weekend in the US. This is the first time that Massive Attack has allowed any piece of their music to be used in an advertisement.
The duo will donate their payment from Lincoln to Save Our Gulf, clean up organization affiliated with the Waterkeeper Alliance.
The amount of the donation has not been disclosed.
