According to Pitchfork, Charles Bradley, American R&B/funk/soul singer from Florida, has released a new music video for his song “Good to Be Back Home” off his most recent third solo album Changes which hit shelves earlier this year.
The new video was directed and edited by Andrew Swartz and filmed around Bradley’s Bedstuy, BK, home, with several footages of his concerts spliced in as well. It features Bradley walking around his neighborhood, glancing at times changing. It was shot in black and white, seemingly trying to indicate old times, with the style of music that reminds you of a James Brown-esque feel. The video hints towards a never changing America, that no matter if you are gone for some time, you will still return to the same old home, and boy is it good to be back home.
Charles Bradley is about to begin a huge tour which will be taking him all over the world and back again, and even though the tour dates end in Germany, there will very likely be a homecoming show that the soulful singer will want to perform after his long trip.
