LA label Brainfeeder will be filling up the Hollywood Bowl with a star-studded show including the likes of Flying Lotus (who founded the label), George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic, Thundercat, Shabazz Palaces, and the Gaslamp Killer on September 17. The night will celebrate the revolution of beat-minded music, from electronic and deconstructed jazz, to futuristic R&B and instrumental hip hop.
Flying Lotus is an experimental multi-genre music producer, electronic musician, DJ and rapper from LA who has released numerous albums and received two Grammy nominations this year, one for Best Dance Recording for the track “Never Catch Me” and the other for and Album of the Year for his credits as producer on Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp a Butterfly.”
Also on hand is George Clinton, known for his Funkadelic fame and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. Joining him on the set is Thundercat and Shabazz Palaces which will both be bringing in the experimental hip-hop and jazz fusion into town. Be sure to catch all these great musicians at the Hollywood Bowl only in September!
