California natives Thrice will be in town to play at the Shrine Expo Hall on July 3. The alternative rock band was founded by guitarist/vocalist Dustin Kensrue and guitarist Teppei Teranishi while they were in high school in 1998. On November 23, 2015, it was announced that Thrice would be releasing a new album in 2016.
The band broke out onto the music scene with their 2001 debut album “Identity Crisis” which was followed by “The Illusion of Safety” (2002) and “The Artist In The Ambulance” (2003), as well as “Vheissu” (2005). “The Alchemy Index’s” Fire and Water installments introduced the album’s elaborate concept in 2007, and then Earth and Air completed the project’s scope in 2008. The band toured in support of “Alchemy”, including a headlining run with Circa Survive and Pelican as well as high-profile support slots with Brand New and Rise Against.
The band’s most recent ouput was “Anthology,” their second live album recorded during the band’s farewell tour in May and June 2012. But the band hasn’t said farewell just yet, and will be in town in July at The Shrine Expo. Don’t miss out!
