English post-punk band Killing Joke will be performing at the Regent on January 28 with Soft Moon. Killing Joke will release their 14th studio album Pylon on October 23. Throughout various lineup changes, the band currently consists of the original lineup of Jaz Coleman (vocals), Kevin “Geordie” Walker (guitars ), Martin “Youth” Glover (bass),Paul Ferguson (drums) and now with keyboardist Reza Uhdin.
Killing Joke came out of punk and then set out on one of the most remarkable journeys ever, having successfully combined disco and funk and a dark side of the punk fall-out. They eventually became less heavy and artier and even danceable. Along the way they have influenced many bands, including the great Metallica, Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden.
