Rapper Kyle will be performing at the El Rey Theatre on October 29 to continue bringing dance, pop and R&B to the people. He is a young MC on the rise from Ventura, California, and now his presence will begin to be felt on a broader scale.
His goal when making music to infuse the sounds and styles of different genres together that is completely new but still reminiscent of its origins. His new album features production from M-Phazes (Eminem, Kimbra) and Sunny Norway (Bun B, Juicy J) as well as guest appearances by Chance the Rapper and Yuna. His influences include Kid CuDi, Jadakiss, Big L and Ol’ Dirty Bastard.
After releasing Beautiful Loser via current label Indie-Pop in August 2013, his career took flight. The video for “Keep It Real” got nearly 700,000 YouTube hits in its first week, while the mixtape, whose songs generated millions of listens on Soundcloud, landed him shows with Chance the Rapper and G-Eazy prior to a headlining tour earlier this year. Be sure to catch him during his current tour as he performs at the El Rey Theatre later this month!
