Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band will perform at the Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles on October 2. The lineup features Steve Lukather, Richard Page, Gregg Rolie, Todd Rundgren and Gregg Bissonette. Starr gained worldwide fame as drummer for The Beatles and is also a singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. In 2011, Rolling Stone readers named Starr the fifth-greatest drummer of all time.
Today on April 18, Starr will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where he will be honored with the Award for Musical Excellence. He was already inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Beatles in 1988 and will go in again for his solo career, making him a two-time inductee. Ringo and Genesis Publications also published his photography book last year titled “Photograph,” where he revealed never-before-seen photographs and mementos from his archives, sharing memories of his childhood.
Starr is touring off the release of his latest album Postcards from Paradise which came out last month. It is Ringo’s first album to include a song written and recorded by himself and his current All-Starr Band. The album’s guest artists include: Joe Walsh, Benmont Tench, Dave Stewart, Ann Marie Simpson, Richard Marx, Amy Keys, Peter Frampton, Nathan East, and Glen Ballard (among others). Be sure to catch Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band as they play at the Vina Robles Amphitheatre.
