UPDATE: The presale already sold out. So DO NOT miss your chance to buy tickets when they go on sale to the general public TOMORROW!
Missed your chance to score tickets to Hozier’s November show at The Troc? Well, you’re in luck. The Irish singer will be back in Philly to play a much larger show at The Electric Factory in March. Tickets go on sale this Friday, but don’t sleep on this one. With The Troc show now sold out, and Hozier gaining steady radio play, you definitely do not want to miss your chance to be in attendance when he plays The Electric Factory on March 7th. It may seem like it’s a while away, but that just gives you plenty of time to listen to his upcoming debut album and ready yourself for his performance.
The debut album was released in Ireland on September 19th, and will finally be released globally on October 7th. He also has 2 EPs under his belt, the 2013 release Take Me to Church and the more recent From Eden, which dropped in March of this year. If you’ve been following along and steadily listening to his two prior releases, you will already be familiar with a few tracks off of his upcoming debut. Obviously, by this point everyone has heard his hit single “Take Me to Church.” In addition, some repeat tracks are “From Eden,” “Cherry Wine,” “Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene,” “Like Real People Do,” “Work Song,” and “To Be Alone.” But that leaves plenty of new material for you to hear come October.
Opening for Hozier at The Electric Factory on 3/7 will be George Ezra. The young British singer-songwriter released his debut EP in 2013, followed by another EP in 2014. In June of this year he went on to release his first album, Wanted on Voyage. In just a short time, Ezra has landed himself on several lists of new artists to watch. His album has been very successful abroad, with his single “Budapest” making its way to number 3 on the UK Singles Chart.
