In celebration of Dolly Parton, The Country Music awards is presenting us with a live television tribute. “I Will Always Love You: A celebration of Dolly Parton” will air on Wednesday, October 21st, on ABC and Disney+. The broadcast will take place at Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in Nashville, Tennessee. 

The show will feature personal stories, exclusive footage and performances from a roster full of incredible talent. Some of the country stars include Ella Langley, Zac Brown, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Kristen Bell, Kristin Chenoweth, Kelsea Ballerini, Lukas Nelson, Lainey Wilson, Vince Gill, Little Big Town and Amy Grant. As Consequence reports, the show will also include “additional surprise tributes from friends across the entertainment world.” 

According to Music Row, “CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton” will also feature performances from a Belmont University student ensemble, showcasing the schools “Dolly U” program that provides education about Dolly Parton’s career. Don’t worry if you miss the live show, because it will be available the next day on Hulu, filmed before a live audience!

In further celebration of Parton’s memory, August saw the late icon’s estate announce a Team Dolly-produced celebration in Parton’s honor. DOLLYFEST is set to take place in Nashville, Tennessee and London, England in 2027.
