Maya Hawke has announced her new album, Maitreya Corso, out on May 1st via Mom + Pop. She’s also shared the album’s first single, “Devil You Know,” and announced a new batch of US tour dates including a show at the Troubadour on Tuesday, April 21st.
Hawke will support Maitreya Corso with a spring 2026 US tour. The trek kicks off in Woodstock, New York on April 10th and continues with stops in Brooklyn, Portland (Oregon), Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Boston. She’ll close out the run back in New York at the Bowery Ballroom on May 2nd.
Maitreya Corso serves as Hawke’s fourth studio album and was written and produced alongside frequent collaborators Christian Lee Hutson, Benjamin Lazar Davis, and Jonathan Low. The album finds Hawke inhabiting the character of “Maitreya Corso,” whom she refers to in a statement as a “magical misfit, whose sheer inability to adapt to the surrounding world allows her to create a world of her own, and to explore the positive and negative power of the ego.”
“Devil You Know,” the first offering from Hawke’s new album, introduces us to the sonic world of Maitreya Corso. “‘Devil You Know’ is about trying to keep ambition and greed out of the creative process,” said Hawke of the new song. “This album generally is about learning to protect the precious from the poisonous. Protect creation from pride. Protect love from control. Protect collaboration from jealousy.”
