Singer-songwriter, producer, and TikTok sensation Sofia Isella is coming to New York City. Her first EP, I Am Not Yours, was released in 2020. After moving to Queensland, Australia with her family, the young artist began playing concerts in her new home. She quickly earned social media fame for her unique performances and confessional writing style.
In addition to her production skills, Isella is an accomplished violinist and pianist, adding a haunting aura to her stage presence. Her style is raw and devoid of flowery metaphors; Isella writes calls to action. Songs like “The Doll People” and “Everyone Supports Women” call out the permanence of social movements as well as the objectification of women. Her use of repetition and sarcastic performance highlights hypocrisy.
She has performed as an opener for the Martinez Trilogy Tour, Tom Odell, and The Eras Tour, and now she is performing at Madison Square Garden.
Isella will be accompanied by English indie rockers Florence and the Machine for two nights, April 21st and 22nd, at 7:30. Tickets are available now here.
