This year, iconic 2000s alternative rock and emo band Linkin Park released two new albums, Papercuts and From Zero. The band will tour for the album From Zero starting in December 2024 and will perform in Chicago at the United Center on Aug. 11, 2025.
Beginning in 1996 in California, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Rob Bourdon formed this band after playing music together throughout high school. The current band members are Shinoda on vocals, rhythm guitar, and keyboard, Delson on lead guitar, Dave Farrell on bass, Emily Armstrong on co-lead vocals, and Colin Brittain on drums. Bourdon was the original drummer but left the band during their first hiatus.
The band released their first album, Hybrid Theory, in the 2000s, a few years after they formed. They cultivated a cult-like following almost instantly and jumped to the top of the Billboard 100 charts.
In total, they have released nine studio albums as well as deluxe editions, remasterings, and anniversary albums. They have also released three EPs and 23 singles. They have worked and collaborated with numerous artists and are acclaimed for the music that they produce.
