Danny Elfman has announced a couple of major live shows, From Boingo to Batman to Big Mess and Beyond! set to take place in California. The shows will hit the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, November 2 and at the Shoreline Amphitheater on Sunday, November 3.
Musician and composer Danny Elfman will be performing a double-career spanning set at both California shows. The shows build off of the icon’s 2022 Coachella performance, where he blended material from Oingo Boingo, his solo career and film and TV scores for Batman, The Simpsons and The Nightmare Before Christmas and more into one cohesive presentation. Elfman will be backed by the all-star band consisting of bassist Stu Brooks, guitarists Nili Brosh and Robin Finck and drummer Ilan Rubin, as well as an orchestra conducted by Oingo Boingo guitarist Steve Bartek. Support from Johnny Jewel and Desire.
On the social media announcement Elfman also disclosed that he hopes to premiere new songs. Elfman previously performed in April for Las Vegas’ Sick New World festival, the upcoming California shows are his only North American live performances for the rest of 2024. Elfman will perform five shows from November through December in London, UK.
