Power Trip have announced additional reunion performances with Fugitive frontman Seth Gilmore on vocals. The band is set to perform is set to perform at the Fonda Theater on Sunday, June 9 with special guests Soul Search and Mortal Wound.
Ahead of their grand appearance at the No Values Fest, set to take place on Saturday, June 8 at the Pomona Fairplex, Power Trip will headline a few side shows. A few artists included in the inaugural festival’s lineup are set to perform intimate shows surrounding the festival. Power Trip is one of the few bands that has multiple shows in SoCal. On June 6, the group will perform a warm-up show at the Glass House in Pomona with Soul Glo and Spy. Following their festival appearance at the No Values Fest, Power Trip will perform at the Fonda Theater on Sunday, June 9 with Soul Search and Mortal Wound.
Power Trip is often considered a band like no other. Their raw energy, musical proficiency, perfect song structure, rich tones, fierce riffs, persecution and collective attitude has seeded them as one of the most prolific underground staples in the U.S. metal, punk and hardcore scenes. The group formed in Dallas, Texas in 2008. Their 2017 album Nightmare Logic gained them traction and even earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance with the single “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe)”. Following the death of their lead singer Riley Gale, the band took a hiatus before briefly returning in 2023 with a surprise show with Seth Gilmore on vocals. The band makes their official return this year with a small series of shows with Gilmore as their new vocalist.
