Black Flag and The Bronx will be co-headlining a No Values sideshow on Friday, June 7. The show will take place at the Garden Amp with special guests Deviates and Overexposure.
The inaugural No Values Festival is set to happen on Saturday, June 8 at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, CA. Ahead of the major festival, it has a few headlining sideshows have been announced from various artists playing the festival, in the days surrounding the major event. Black Flag and The Bronx have teamed up for an up close and personal show at the Garden Amp.
The Bronx, also known as Mariachi El Bronx, originated in 2002 in Los Angeles, CA. The band’s lineup consists of Matt Caughthran, Joby Ford, Ken Horne, Brad Magers, and Joey Castillo. The Bronx currently has six albums with the latest being 2021’s The Bronx VI. In addition, the group also has three more albums released under the name Mariachi El Bronx which holds mariachi music instead of their usual hardcore punk sound.
Black Flag originally formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, CA. The band has undergone various line-up changes over the years and consists of original member Greg Ginn, Mike Vallely, Harley Duggan, and Charles Wiley. Black Flag is considered to be one of the pioneers of hardcore punk and post-hardcore. The band has released seven album with the latest being 2013’s What The…, following 1985’s In My Head. Despite various break ups and reunions, Black Flag is still recognized as innovators and credited to the popularization of punk subculture in the West Coast.
