Joji just announced three shows for 2023 in honor of his latest album, Smithereens. One of the shows is set to take place on May 13 in Los Angeles, California.
R&B and lo-fi artist Joji is celebrating the release of his third studio album, Smithereens, with a three-date tour in 2023. The 88rising artist shared the news via social media on Friday, November 4 following the release of his album. The three shows hit major cities such as New York City, Los Angeles and London. Joji will be accompanied by Lil Toe and Savagerealm on all three shows while Rei Brown will only join him for the New York City and Los Angeles dates.
The three Smithereens Oblivion shows follow a series of Laneway Festival dates Joji is set to appear in February 2023. The festival includes several shows across Australia. Fans can register for artist pre-sale and artist newsletter at jojimusic.com.
George Kusunoki Miller, now known as Joji is better known for his YouTube personalities Filthy Frank, Pink Guy and more. His videos featured comedy hip hop, skits, challenges, and raunchy humor. Miller was born in Japan to an Australian father and Japanese mother. At the age of 18, Miller moved to the United States where he attended a university and began his rode to fame with his YouTube channels. In 2017, Miller officially retired from YouTube and pursued a career in music.
After releasing two EPs as Pink Guy, Miller began to make music under name of Joji. In 2017, Joji was signed with 88rising and released several singles. In 2018, Joji released his debut studio album Ballads 1 which features his hits “Yeah Right” and “Slow Dancing in the Dark.” Four years later, Joji now headlines 88rising’s Head In The Clouds music and arts festival and has several trending songs such as “Glimpse of Us.”
Join Joji for his only LA show till date for 2023 on May 13 at the Kia Forum. Pre-sale begins Wednesday, November 9 at 10am, public on sale will be available on Friday, November 11 at 10am via Ticketmaster.com.
