Brent Purgason, known under character name Pustulus Maximus, initially joined GWAR on stage as the replacement for the late Cory Smoot. Now the word is out that Purgason is officially the band’s lead guitarist. Read on for more details.
Pustulus Maximus is an addition to the family, literally, for he is actually Smoot’s cousin. Needless to say, Pustulus, and the rest of the band for that matter, are all excited to get the ball rolling. Upon the announcement, he told the press:
At this point I have nothing to say to the press, even though I am talking to you. I will let my guitar speak for itself. But let me add that I am blood-sworn to honor the legacy of the great Flattus and indeed the whole Maximus tribe. I didn’t come here to fuck around. HAIL FLATTUS!
