Who doesn’t love a supergroup? SCOUR is the brainchild of Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down), John Jarvis (Pig Destroyer), Derek Engemann (Cattle Decapitation), Chase Fraser (Animosity, Decrepit Birth), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index). Their tape on the way is called Red, and today the single “Piles” is dropping off of it.
“This is one of our favorite SCOUR songs,” says Engemann, “‘Piles’ comes in hot with blistering melodies wrapped around some serious vocal brutality.” Press release described this song as a precursor to Red’s release, for “public feasting.” It is the second song off the tape, following the first single, “Red.” Red will follow the band’s debut EP, Grey, which came out via Anselmo’s own Housecore label. It was mixed and mastered at Flatline Audio, and due for release November 3rd.
