It’s just under a month till the release of Colors, Beck’s follow up to his grammy winning 2014 album, Morning Phase. We’ve already heard the recent single, “Dear Life,” and today comes the first music video from Colors, “Up All Night.” If you can believe it, Colors will be Beck’s 13th album, and it’s looking to be filled with energy.
Directed by collective CANADA, “Up All Night” displays a surreal sequence of events where one girl (Solene Rigot) attempts to find her lost friend (Pedro Attenborough). The trials she fights through become increasingly hallucinogenic, and the song increasingly thumping. “Up All Night” easily fits into the official description of Colors: “an intoxicating rainbow of auditory tricks and treats, making it a shoo-in for the summeriest smash of the fall season.”
You can catch Beck on tour till the end of the month on U2’s “Joshua Tree” tour. Pre-order options for the album can be found here.
