If you consider yourself a fan of Linkin Park then today is your lucky day because they have released the lyric video for their new song “Good Goodbye”. The song itself is an interesting one as it combines two different worlds with features from GOOD music rapper Pusha T and UK rapper Stormzy. This is not the first time that Linkin Park has dabbled in the world of rap. In 2004, they released a collaborative EP titled Collision Course with JAY Z. In 2007, they collaborated on a song titled “We Made It” with Brooklyn born MC Busta Rhymes, it charted at 65 on the Hot 100 charts.
The song features Linkin Parks unique ability to rap on their songs and make it come off just as smooth as a veteran rapper would on the same song. The lyric video that accompanies the release of the song features different shots of nature and empty areas that look like ghost towns. Their are a few small parts of the video where it is not live shots of real locations, but computer generated graphics. Director of the video, Rafatoon, combines beautiful shots of real locations, computer graphics, post production on color correction to provide viewers with stellar visuals for what perhaps will lead to new music.
Linkin Park has been active in the first quarter of 2017. In March, they released a song titled “Battle Symphony” also accompanied by a lyric video that features shots of real locations. The release of new music and music videos has all lead up to Linkin Park announcing that they will be releasing a new album in May titled One More Light.
