A new album, recently released and now critically acclaimed, from artist and musician Andrew Bird has gained attention and now has a track out now on a new lyric video. “Roma Fade,” the new song, out of the new album, Are You Serious, casts vibes of lurking reality and a pleasantly creepy energy of the intriguing lyrics of Mr. Bird.
In just the undertones and atmosphere created by the song, “Roma Fade” appeals to a mysterious viewpoint that is bolstered by the accompanied music. Beginning with whistles to repetitive and a minor-sequel key of melody, the song draws attention and curiosity. A few measures from the start, “Roma Fade” adds a steady and vintage sequel drum beat, being subjectively reminiscent of a Quentin Tarrantino movie. A few measures after this shift, Bird adds his vocals, with lyrics equally as captivating as his vocal timbre. Bird carries on the song’s progression, telling a first person narrative of curiousity, desire, and change. As the story is told, the string sound of violins ring in unison until the stop to leave the always steaday beat as Bird continues the story. “Feel my stare,” Bird imposes, as this musical shift occurs and evokes a drafty meaning to the song, one of mystery and desire.
The Are You Serious track propels a message that is in all human and hazily resolute. With thought capturing lines such as “watching you, watching me watching you” and the repeated “staring at you,” Bird portrays emotions, as said, of a need and a want. To bring a message to his open-ended feeling, Bird illustrates his change within the song. “If she sees you it changes you,” he openly puts as a key line of the song. “Roma Fade” puts forth a human feeling and a feeling of unease and desire that leaves one feeling, contrastingly, pleased.
