Kacey Musgraves Announces Deluxe Edition Of Middle Of Nowhere Vol 2: Tex Mex Tapes For January 2027 Release

Today, American singer Kacey Musgraves has surprised her fans by announcing she will be releasing a 16-song album this is full of all-new material titled Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes. The upcoming album will be released on January 15, 2027, through Lost Highway Records. On a neat note, the record is being released just eight months after the release of Middle of Nowhere  Vol. 1.

According to the press release, the Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2 picks up where Vol. 1 left off, “by expanding on themes of solitude, contentment and finding beauty in the in-between.” Four of the album’s 16 songs are sung entirely in Spanish, including a newly-recorded Spanish version of “Uncertain, TX,” featuring the musical artist Intocable.

Along with the album announcement, Musgraves has announced she will be releasing the “Weekend In Texas” and her rendition of the Norteño classic, “Mi Tesoro.”from the collection tonight. In other news, Musgraves will be into this year’s CMA Awards with five nominations, including Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year, as well as Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Dry Spell” and Musical Event of the Year for “Horses and Divorces” with Miranda Lambert.
