On October 10th, The Kia Forum saw an unlikely duo rock the crowd! Sombr and Lindsey Buckingham took to the stage together for a performance of “Go Your Own Way”. The classic from Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours sounds better than ever from these two musicians who, believe it or not, gain much inspiration from each other.
Stereogum tells us “Buckingham praised Sombr in a video about staying open to music: I love Sombr. I think he’s extremely talented, especially for being only 20 years old…There is a great deal of excellent new music…Sombr being at the top of the heap.” Sombr was also presented with the “Songwriter Of The Year Award” by Buckingham himself.
Seeing two talents share a stage reminds us that a mutual respect between music legends and rising stars of a new generation exists. Though from totally different eras, these artists continue to inspire each other.
When we last covered Sombr, it was in regards to Lollapalooza Brazil 2027. The lineup would feature Sombr along with performances from Queens of the Stone Age, The Prodigy and many more.
