Third Man Records is celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Raconteurs’ classic debut album, Broken Boy Soldiers, with the 70th installment of its long-running archival audio series, The Vault. Broken Boy Soldiers XX serves as an indispensable companion volume to the Grammy Award-nominated rock ’n’ roll landmark, boasting 23 tracks, 22 of which are previously unreleased, including nine rare demos and outtakes as well as an electrifying recording of the Raconteurs’ first-ever live performance, captured on stage at Liverpool’s Carling Academy Liverpool on March 20, 2006.
Vault #70 is pressed across three 180-gram LPs on brilliant Metallic Copper, Grand Green, and Coke Bottle Clear vinyl, packed in two gatefold jackets and housed in a sumptuous slipcase alongside one of four collectible trading cards from Third Man’s recently launched Tripppl imprint as well as a “Steady, As She Goes” video shoot film strip printed onto color positive 35mm film and highlighting individual shots of each band member pulled from the original Jim Jarmusch-directed clip.
