Nick Valensi of The Strokes made surprise appearance during Jack White’s set at the Hollywood Palladium. Yesterday night was the first of two back to back shows in Los Angeles Jack White will be performing, as a part of his 2026 North American Tour.
NME tells us that White once joined The Strokes on stage during their headlining set at Reading Festival. Last night, fans got to hear White and Valensi shred together, and hopefully will get to hear more soon! There’s plenty more to come with Jack White’s tour. However, it seems as though it may be some time until Valensi is able to return to The Strokes. Earlier this year in Mid May, Valensi stated he’d be on hiatus. Julian Casablancas did say “he’ll be back soon, I’m sure.” A story we covered!
Valensi has remained absent for the time being from The Strokes recent shows in North America. Their seventh studio album Reality Awaits hit streaming in July. The band continues to promote their new material. Be on the look out for news on The Strokes upcoming gigs! The Strokes Reality Awaits tour sees many shows coming up through October 2026. They’ll be hitting Europe on the 6th, starting in London.
According to NME, Steve Schiltz, guitarist for Longwave, has been filling in during Valensi’s hiatus. Although no official return to the band has been announced, Valensi is still rocking out on stages! Jack White will be returning to the stage at the Hollywood Palladium today!
