With the release of her new album Pylon, beabadoobee has released a new single titled “Write Me A Letter”. Like the album, the song is being released via Dirty Hit / Interscope Records. The song plays into beabadoobee’s signature singer-songwriter style with rock music influences. The vocals on the song are clear and the emotion is obvious through the tone she sings in. That’s matched with an instrumental that increases in intensity until it explodes in the chorus. Then, the song is brought to a close as the beat dials itself back. On the production, beabadoobee collaborated with the 1975’s Matty Healy and George Daniel. About the song, beabadoobee shares, “seeing my fault in situations, but also admitting things that I would be too embarrassed to say out loud.”

“Write Me A Letter” joins “Memories”, “Switchblade” and “Sun Has Set” as the singles from beabadoobee’s Pylon. The songs on this album are reported to be a product of beabadoobee writing alone in hotel rooms, which she compares to how she wrote songs alone in her bedroom at 17 years old, while feeling “sad as fuck”. And this album takes inspiration from that experience emotionally as well, being described as “turbulent”. 

Beabadoobee will celebrate the release of her new album Pylon, including “Write Me A Letter”, with some intimate shows in London this week. Then, she will return to North America to kick off her Powerlines Tour in October. This will be the first time beabadoobee headlines arenas, including the iconic Madison Square Garden, Kia Forum, and O2 Arena in London.
