In anticipation of Valorant Champions 2026, Riot Games has released “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight,” the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour anthem. The song features Oli Sykes (Bring Me the Horizon), Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) and Grabbitz. Grabbitz has previously worked on several songs for Valorant, including the anthem “Die For You” in 2021, the 2022 anthem “Fire Again” performed by Ashnikko, and the 2023 anthem “Ticking Away” with bbno$. The music video for the song has also been released, centering on agents Sage and Viper and their ongoing narrative within Valorant as they continue their intensive training, preparing to fight each other in the near future. When discussing the track, Grabbitz stated, “The best collaborations happen when everyone brings a different perspective to the room — and that’s what makes this record so exciting to me. Oli, Courtney and I came together from different corners of the globe, and landed on a track that sits effortlessly between my electronic world and the heavy landscapes of BRING ME THE HORIZON and SPIRITBOX. The three of us just clicked — and the result is what I believe to be the best Valorant anthem to date.” The track is heavily influenced by the metal and electronic sounds of each of the artists’ respective genres.
“I’ve always been drawn to projects that blur the lines between storytelling and music, so working with Riot Games, alongside Grabbitz and Courtney, and becoming part of the Valorant world felt like a really natural fit,” shared Oli Sykes. “I cannot wait to release this song!” said Courtney LaPlante. “Oli has given me the opportunity to perform live with BMTH many times over the years, and we’re finally debuting something we worked on together. Grabbitz produced such a great atmosphere and a song tailored to all three of our voices, and Oli went in right away and made it a true collaboration.” Bob DeBelina, music artist partnerships manager at Riot Games, was similarly excited for the collaboration, stating, “Welcoming artists of Oli Sykes and Courtney LaPlante’s caliber into the world of Valorant this year has been an incredible honor for us. They’re two of the most respected voices in modern heavy music, and we’re thrilled they brought their own creative vision and emotion to this year’s Champions anthem.”
According to Blabbermouth, The Valorant Champions Shanghai 2026 finals will take place from September 24 to October 18, with the world’s top 16 teams competing for the championship in what will be the sixth year of the tournament.
