The band Pulp debuted a live performance of their song “Deep Fried In Kelvin” at the End of the Road festival on Saturday, September 5, at the Larmer Tree Gardens in Dorset, U.K.
“Deep Fried In Kelvin” is a B-side song of Pulp’s single “Lipgloss” in 1993. According to NME, Pulp had never played the song live before and decided to debut “Deep Fried In Kelvin” on the closing night of the festival, to the surprise of their fans. Pulp also performed other rarities such as “Forever In My Dreams,” that they haven’t played since 2000, “Little Girl (With Blue Eyes),” that they haven’t played since 2012, “The Mark of the Devil” and “Death II,” that they played for the first time since 1992.
Pulp made sure that the fans would remember the night by performing old songs with the band’s history on a slideshow behind them and celebrating the 20 years of the End of the Road festival by singing “Happy Birthday.” Pulp’s lead singer Jarvis Cocker announced that this would be Pulp’s last gig for a while but mentioned that it’s not forever.
