Hayley Williams Live Debuts Eight Songs At Tour Opener In Florida

Hayley Williams has recently live debuted eight songs at her concert at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in Florida on September 3, which marked the beginning of the Americas leg of her second solo tour The Hayley Williams Show. According to Stereogum, during her first-ever solo tour Hayley Williams at a Bachelorette Party earlier this year, which was in support of her third studio album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, Williams promised “material across all three of [her] solo albums as well as some exciting surprises.” Some of these surprises were revealed at her Florida concert, where she performed several of her songs live for the first time. This list of songs includes “Cinnamon,” “Dead Horse,” “Pure Love,” “My Friend,” “Creepin’,” “Over Yet,” “Just a Lover,” and “Crystal Clear.” These songs are from Williams’ debut studio album Petals for Armor, which she released in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to debuting these songs, Williams also performed a cover of the song “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” by the legendary singer-songwriter and pianist Nina Simone, along with including a snippet of the song “Wandering Star” by Portishead within her performance of her song “Simmer.” These new additions to Williams’ setlist have left fans excited for future concerts as they anticipate what surprises may be revealed throughout the duration of the tour.

Williams’ North America tour will include concerts at iconic venues such as Forest Hills Stadium in New York and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The tour will also have a UK and Europe leg, which will begin on June 7 in Milan and end with her concert in London at Alexandra Palace.
