Metal band In This Moment released a new single and video titled “I Want To Believe.” The song comes off and was released alongside the band’s latest album, WITCH, which dropped earlier this week Friday, August 28 coinciding with the full moon. The video for the track, which also features the hardcore act Dayseeker, can be found on YouTube.
The video, shot in a cinematic aspect ratio and with visuals coated in blue, features the band performing upon the rocks near the ocean while cast heavily in shadows. “‘I Want To Believe’ is the flicker of light you protect as shadows close in,” said In This Moment frontwoman and vocalist Maria Brink. “It’s reaching for a hand that’s slipping away, knowing endings are inevitable, yet still clinging for the glow of hope. It’s the quiet fight to believe in light while the world shifts, knowing that even as one chapter fades, another will dawn.”
Dayseeker vocalist Roy Rodriguez also spoke on the track and the collaboration. “We had a chance to tour with IN THIS MOMENT last year and they were so kind to us,” Rodriguez shared. “I was very excited about the idea of us creating something together musically and I think people are going to love it.”
WITCH is out now, marking the band’s ninth full-length release as well as their debut LP under Better Noise Music.
