Shudder To Think Releases New Song “Who Sent You?”

Today, rock band Shudder To Think released a new song called “Who Sent You?” on their three-track EP with the same name coming out September 11th. “Who Sent You?” is about the vocalist’s Craig Wedren’s teenage years in Cleveland in the 1980’s before moving to Washington D.C. will his complicated emotions. The visuals consist of strap capital letters book letters, red x’s that are drawn on, question marks that are black and red, a witch riding her broom and a recording of the band practicing. Which can symbolize the pent-up rage that Wedren felt throughout his teenage years as a whole and how music was a great outlet for him.  Some lyrics that show this include: “Guess jeans, horse mane, All we design, Seal up and dry hump”, “Scrape off your suntan, Leave the bed smoking, All wincing eye, Seize up and size up, Feed off the filings” and “We’ll keep the phone lines free in case you need, Comacomical, go while there’s still time, Too many explosions murdering my feeling. The guitar, bass, drums give the song an alternative pop and rock feel that is conveyed throughout the songs vulgar and angsty nature.

Wedren said that the song is both a, “collage of memories, refracted through the prism of time, and a message back to my younger self (“sense your way home”). Above all, it’s a nocturnal THANK YOU to all of the girls, family, friends, music, and invisible hands that lit the path, angels and devils both. Who, indeed, sent you??” (Who Sent You?
