
According to Stereogum.com, Death Valley Girls has announced that they will be releasing, their new album, Welcome to Earth, on October 9. The upcoming album follows the West Coast band that have really been through a lot. with singer Bonnie Bloomgarden losing her home in Altadena, CA due to last year’s devastating wild fires. Losing much of her possessions, she lost her beloved dog, Tommy and this profound sense of brought about a shift in the way she approached music.
Because of the devastating fire, the band were drawn closer together and Welcome To Earth is remarkably freeing. From garage rock crunch through to space rock excursions, Death Valley Girls move past any definitions you want to place against them. The ladies are back and ready to prove to the world how musically powerful they truly are as band.

As for the group’s new single, “Message From The Venus Flower ” is out now and it taps into this feeling of loss but also the universal and unending connection with those we love. Music is universal because it can reach into some people’s souls and make them relate to what they are listening to. On this ditty, the strong instrumentation and deep lyrics bring the perspective of what it feels for those who lost someone close to them. Losing a beloved dog is not easy and Bonnie’s feelings an be felt through out the whole tune.
