Los Angeles’s very own, THE MAZE, is expected to return for the third year in a row on Saturday, October 31st. The premier immersive Halloween event will take on a large-scale Arts District block party. The night will be soundtracked by French electronic duo The Blaze performing live, alongside synthwave icon Kavinsky and house-music favorite Claude VonStroke.
The night is presented by nightlife innovators SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, who are also creators of the Resolutions NYE-NYD celebration. World-class music programming will be paired with elaborate immersive production. The event has already sold-out every time for the past two years and now the event will transform the neighborhood into a sprawling indoor and outdoor Halloween experience. Organizers promise more world-class talent to be announced in the coming weeks.
The concept is built around exploration: hidden pathways, roaming performers, large-scale installations and unexpected discoveries designed to turn the Arts District into a surreal Halloween playground where reality and imagination collide. True to its name, the event features a full maze environment complete with live actors and spooky elements throughout the venue, promising a new experience at every turn.
Musically, the bill spans the spectrum of electronic music’s most atmospheric acts. The Blaze bring their acclaimed, emotionally cinematic live show; Kavinsky delivers the neon-lit synthwave that soundtracked a generation; and Claude VonStroke anchors the night with the playful, bass-driven house that made his Dirtybird label a dance-music institution. The production spans multiple stages and environments, from open-air performances beneath the downtown skyline to intimate late-night moments inside the venue’s state-of-the-art KV2 sound environment. Costumes, as the organizers put it, are encouraged, and expectations abandoned.
