Poppy’s Welcome To Rockville Set Canceled Due To Severe Weather, Festival Reopens With Adjusted Set Times

Florida-based Welcome To Rockville music festival, in an abundance of caution, issued a statement to attendees warning of severe weather. The message prompted evacuations with individuals retreating to their vehicles and the grandstands. The organizers have since given the all-clear for festivalgoers to return to the venue with updated set times. Poppy’s set on the Apex stage has been notably canceled with only two remaining performances (from headliners Foo Fighters and The Offspring) set to take place on that stage.

According to Setlist FM and fans attending the festival, Poppy’s set was stopped halfway through the first song “Have You Had Enough?” Fan-shot video shows the singer performing the song while looking off into the side stage area, seemingly reacting to the news of the fest’s temporary shutdown.

Over on the Octane stage, Parkway Drive and Turnstile’s sets were pushed back from 6:55-7:45pm to 9:00-9:45pm and 8:55-9:55pm to 10:20-11:15pm respectively. At the Vortex stage, Lorna Shore and Paleface Swiss’ performances got postponed as well from 6:45-7:25pm to 9:50-10:25pm and 8:15-9:05pm to 11:15pm-12:05am. Kreator, Suicidal Tendencies and Zakk Sabbath’s sets were moved back from their previously scheduled 6:00, 7:30 and 9:10pm slots to 9:15, 10:30 and 12:10am slots at the Inferno stage. Garage stage’s remaining three performers had their sets pushed back from 6:05 to 8:45pm (Saliva), 7:10 to 9:50pm (Static-X) and 8:20-11:25pm (Sevendust).
