The Avett Brothers and Mike Patton team up to take over The Masonic in San Francisco this May. The collaboration formed for the first time to create their album AVTT/PTTN, released on November 14, 2025.
Founded in 2000, The Avett Brothers are known for their folk rock sound, especially their hit song “I And Love And You,” which utilizes a strong piano accompaniment in addition to violin. With over two decades in the music industry, The Avett Brothers have created a sound that crosses genres, including but not limited to bluegrass, folk, and indie rock.
Lead vocalist of the band Fear No More, Mike Patton is a rock star in his own right. Patton has been known to explore genres and play with other supergroups such as “Tomahawk” and “Dead Cross.” Also known for his versatility in his vocal abilities, Patton’s unique vocals helped him get the position of frontman for Fear No More in college.
Together, the collaboration first released multiple singles, “Eternal Love” released in September and “Heaven’s Breath” in October. The single “Eternal Love” explores the feelings of fear and apprehension that come with the phenomenon that is love.
With a venue capacity of around 3,500, The Masonic provides fans an intimate night to capture the magic of this never-before-seen before collaboration. Tickets for presale are already on sale and can be purchased here.
