Following successful tours of the UK and Europe, Andy Bell will be embarking on his first ever solo tour of North America. In support of his album, Ten Crowns, released in May of this year, Bell hits the road starting this October. The tour is set to conclude at Los Angeles’ very own Fonda Theatre on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13.
The North American tour kicks off on October 3rd in Nashville, TN with stops in major cities such as Toronto, New York, Boston, Chicago, and more, before concluding on December 13th in Los Angeles, CA. Bell will be performing his new solo album Ten Crowns as well as Erasure’s classics.
Bell’s four decades of writing and recording with Vince Clarke as Erasure are still going strong – the duo are currently working on a new album together and celebrate their 40th anniversary next year. For Ten Crowns, Bell collaborated with Dave Audé, the Grammy award-winning producer, remixer and DJ. Andy and Dave had previously collaborated on two Billboard Dance Club Songs number ones together: 2014’s “Aftermath (Here We Go)” and 2016’s “True Original”.
Best known as one half of Erasure, one of the UK’s most beloved award-winning songwriting partnerships, Andy Bell has a successful and varied parallel solo career with releases that include three solo albums under his own name, and a further two as offshoots of his one-man theatre project, Torsten The Bareback Saint. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists as diverse as British Electric Foundation, Jake Shears, Claudia Brücken (Propaganda), Perry Farrell, Boy George, and most recently, Debbie Harry.
His career began when he answered an ad that Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode / Yazoo / The Assembly) had placed in the Melody Maker, after a successful audition, the duo formed the phenomenon known as Erasure. Their decades-long song-writing partnership has seen Erasure crowned Best British Group at The Brit Awards and receive the Attitude Icon Award, amongst many other accolades. Since the release of their debut, Wonderland, they have gone on to sell over 20 million albums, 5 of their 18 studio albums hitting the UK number one spot, as well as multiple Top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Their most recent release, 2020’s The Neon, debuted at No. 4 on the UK Official Albums Chart, and the duo are working on a new Erasure album project.
