According to Blabbermouth, Corrosion of Conformity has reportedly returned to the studio to begin recording their first new album in seven years. Following their 2018 release, No Cross No Crown, the band has kept fans waiting for fresh material, but now it looks like that wait is finally over.
The upcoming album will feature the return of guitarist/vocalist Pepper Keenan, who’s been a key part of the band’s sound for years. Along with him, founding members Woody Weatherman (guitar) and Mike Dean (bass) are back in action, along with drummer Reed Mullin, who rejoined COC for recent live shows. With this lineup, the band is expected to tap into that signature mix of heavy riffs, Southern rock vibes and gritty energy that they’ve been known for.

With the band now hard at work on the album, fans are eagerly waiting to hear what’s next from them. In 2023 Corrosion of Conformity played at the brand new music festival titled HEAVY CHICAGO! which offered three shows that occured over two weekends in the Fall. The dates of the shows were October 28, November 4 and November 5 with Corrosion of Conformity playing on the 4th. Additionally, artists such as Nebula and The Crosses were also featured that day.
